In several countries, especially in developing markets and Africa, rural and low-income urban areas are badly under-served by internet providers. Internet service is scarce and prices are too high. No community should be denied the opportunity to access the internet due to a lack of technology. Broadband access should be treated as a public necessity, not a privilege.
